Why our DPC clinic doesn't take insurance

At our Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic, we strive to provide our patients with the highest quality of care. One of the ways we do this is by not accepting insurance. This may sound strange, but there are good reasons for this choice. In this blog post, we'll explain why our DPC clinic doesn't accept insurance and how it benefits our patients.

Lower costs:

One of the biggest benefits of DPC is that it's significantly cheaper than traditional primary care. When a clinic accepts insurance, they must bill insurance companies for each service provided. This leads to higher costs for patients because insurance companies often negotiate lower reimbursement rates for services. By not accepting insurance, we are able to keep our costs low and pass the savings on to our patients.

More personalized care:

Another benefit of DPC is that it allows for more personalized care. When a clinic accepts insurance, they must see a large number of patients to make up for the low reimbursement rates. This leads to longer wait times and less time with each patient. By not accepting insurance, we are able to see fewer patients and spend more time with each one, leading to more personalized care.

Reduced bureaucracy:

Another benefit of DPC is that it reduces bureaucracy. When a clinic accepts insurance, they must spend a significant amount of time and resources on billing and insurance-related paperwork. This takes away from time that could be spent on patient care. By not accepting insurance, we are able to spend more time on patient care and less time on paperwork.

Direct primary care:

Direct primary care is a model of healthcare that eliminates the middleman of insurance companies. Patients pay a monthly membership fee to have access to their primary care physician without the need for insurance. This allows patients to have more control over their healthcare, as they are not subject to the restrictions and regulations of insurance companies.

Our DPC clinic doesn't accept insurance because it allows us to provide our patients with lower costs, more personalized care, and reduced bureaucracy. We believe that this model of healthcare is the future and we are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care.

Note: DPC is not an alternative for insurance, it's an alternative for primary care, as DPC patients still need insurance for hospitalization, specialist visits, and other medical needs.
